A few weeks ago I was in a private tapping session with a client when I started to notice that he was getting more and more irritated with what we were doing. Of course I know that I sometimes make my clients mad at me because I am touching a nerve or a very sensitive trigger, this wasn’t what was happening. He was getting frustrated with the tapping itself. Even though we got some results with Tapping in the past, on that day, were not… in fact we were achieving the opposite! Then I remembered my daughter, who could not and WOULD NOT TAP with me because this repetitive movement of the fingers on her face made her more and more agitated. If tapping feels irritating and prevents you from reaching the centered peaceful state you’re aiming for, you can use an alternate form of Tapping, like I demonstrated in this week’s video. As I mentioned, you may use it occasionally, based on your need that day, or always because tapping is really not for you, like my daughter.
Whatever the case is, give it a try. Especially if you can’t fall asleep or are waking up in anxiety in the middle of the night. This will help you calm down and go back to sleep instead of letting your fearful thoughts and racing mind get the best of your sleep. As always, I would love to know about your exerience and answer your questions if you tried this approach. Until we talk again, may you be blessed with inner peace
